Supplemented with NON-GMO Feed

Since pigs and poultry do not have a stomach that can digest forage efficiently,
they cannot stay healthy and grow on a diet of pure pasture.
Because of this, they are fed locally-sourced, non-GMO grain in addition to all
the goodies they find on pasture.

Pasture-Rasied

Pasture-Raised means that our animal has spent as much of it's life
on pasture as South Dakota seasons allow.

Our chicks are kept in a brooder until the have feathers enough to keep them warm in South
Dakota weather. Depending on the time of year and the forecast, our chicks are usually moved
out to pasture around 3 weeks of age.

Pasture supplies the animals green salad, bugs, plenty of sunshine and fresh air, and
allows the animals to live out their individuality.

Our animals are never given hormones or antibiotics.

Of course, if an animals is sick and suffering, and requires medical treatment,
we will have compassion on it. That animal will be separated from the flock or herd
and treated individually. We will never sell any animal treated in this manner
without making it plain to our customers that this animal was treated different from
